NSS Activities

The National Service Scheme (NSS) organizes medical camps to provide free healthcare to students, faculty, and the community. The camps also raise awareness about health issues and promote preventive healthcare.

This year health camp held on 28 Nov. 2024:

  • Spread awareness about cleanliness and disease prevention
  • Volunteers distributed free medicines to the needy
  • Organized in collaboration with Kotak Mahindra Bank, Jaipur district, Rajasthan

National Road Safety Week is a week-long campaign held annually from January 11 to January 17.

Purpose:

  • To educate people about the importance of road safety measures
  • To encourage following traffic rules and regulations
  • To develop traffic discipline to prevent road accidents
  • To create awareness about the perils of reckless or irresponsible driving

The Swacch Bharat campaign educates youth leaders and volunteers with the help of NSS on cleanliness drives, waste collection & disposal.

This year Swacch Bharat camp held on 29 Sept. 2024:

  • To make the citizens aware and sensitise them on cleanliness
  • To amplify messages among peer groups and fellow citizens
  • To empower youth for educating people on waste management
  • To promote Jan Bhagidari (People’s Movement)
  • Cleaning of households, community spaces, and monuments
  • Campaign on physical and mental hygiene
  • Awareness on SUP, recycling, and waste segregation

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare released revised ToFEI guidelines in 2019 to make institutions "Tobacco-Free".

This year Tobacco-Free camp held on 6 Nov. 2024:

  • Awareness about harmful effects of tobacco among students and staff
  • Promoting tobacco cessation services and quitting methods
  • Better implementation of legal provisions regarding tobacco use near institutions
  • Ensuring a healthy, tobacco-free environment in all institutions
